Another successful term for Zeal Hamilton Programmes

Zeal Hamilton wrapped up term 2 with an epic end-of-term showcase. Here students got the chance to show their whanau and friends what they learnt throughout the term. This featured singing, barista, theatre, recording and beat production, and hip hop programmes. Each Zeal centres celebrate their programme students at the end of term, but here’s what went down at Zeal Hamilton

What went down

The singing programme showed their range with 2 performances, one to highlight their technique, and the other to highlight staging and presence. And the Barista Programme created their own cafe! They served us kai, hot & cold drinks, and smiles all throughout the night. The service was almost as amazing as their flat whites.

The Theatre Programme devised their own piece which was cultivated around generational struggles and the choices they face as rangatahi. The  Recording & Beat Production Programme crew created all of the sound effects and tracks for the theatre programme’s piece! Not only did they make all of them, but it was their job to cue every single one during the show.

Last but not least the  Hiphop Dance Programme left it all on the floor with a set that had us throwing our shoes. Their formations and levels were amazing, but their confidence took the cake.

We’re so proud of our tauira and all that they’ve achieved!

Our after-school programmes are a great space for rangatahi to grow their creativity, confidence, or to try something new! Our tutors are the best of the best; they're all about creating a fun, stress-free environment. The goal is for young people to leave feeling seen, heard, and valued - any skills learnt along the way are just the icing on the cake”
