For larger events, there may be an adjusted rate, while community bookings may receive special pricing.

Rules
People are expected to set up and pack down the room themselves. Leave it as you found it. Please include this time in your booking request.
Please bring your own stationery including whiteboard markers and flipchart pens.
If you use the kitchen equipment, this needs to be cleaned up after each break or meal as a courtesy to other centre users who are also using it throughout the day.

No smoking in the centre or on the grounds.
Zeal Taranaki is drug free.
Defibrillator on site.
Evacuation plan – the assembly point is the footpath outside the main front door. The centre has a number of exits.
The group leader must register at reception the front entrance and provide a mobile that’s kept on during their session in case we need to contact you in an emergency.

We offer discounted prices for community events and small community organisations that serve our community. If you are unsure which category you fall into, just email us
Can food be consumed at the venue?
Yes, you can bring your own kai. We also have a kitchen and coffee cart onsite. Let us know if you would like us to help with food during your event. Extra costs may apply. (All of the profits go to supporting our youth programmes)
Are there any venue noise restrictions?
No, make as much noise as you want! We are in a commercial area so there is no residential sound restriction. However, events must be finished before midnight. Pack down may commence after midnight.
Is there sound and lighting equipment available?
Yes, we have onsite sound and lighting equipment that can be utilised for your event. Let us know If you require a lighting or sound technician by filling out the booking form. Have a look at our equipment list.
Is there parking available at the venue?
We have two free parking spaces available, which give easy access to the back entrance. Loading bay is also available.
Do you have security at the venue?
You will need to provide your security. 1x per 100 attendees.
Is there a bond fee?
Yes, all hires pay a $200 dollars deposit that is not refundable if the hirer cancels.
Do you provide a cleaning service?
Yes. We can clean the venue after your event (at an additional cost) or you can do it yourself. As long as you do it well! A cleaning charge will be added to your final invoice if the venue is not left as it is found.
Do you allow alcohol at the venue?
Alcohol may be consumed on site however a special license must be organised by the hire with the NP district council, please allow 14 days before booking as we will require to see it.
