Stuff you should know
Can alcohol be consumed at the venue?
We have a no alcohol and drugs policy at Zeal. Therefore, no alcohol can be sold or consumed within and outside the premises.
Can food be consumed at the venue?
Yes, you can bring your own kai. We also have a kitchen and a cafe onsite. Let us know if you would like us to keep the cafe open during your event. Extra costs may apply. (All of the profits from the cafe go to supporting our youth programmes)
Are there any venue noise restrictions?
No, make as much noise as you want! We are in a commercial area so there is no residencial sound restriction.
Is there sound and lighting equipment available?
Yes, we have onsite sound and lighting equipment that can be utilised for your event. Let us know If you require a lighting or sound technician by filling out the booking form. Have a look at our equipment list.
Do you have an outdoor space?
Yes, we have an outdoor courtyard at the front of the building that can be used for concerts, performances and markets. Let us know when you are filling out the booking form if you would like to use this space.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, the carpark directly in front of Zeal have a 120 minutes limit. There is paid parking available at the Falls carpark or there is free parking at the Tui Glen Reserve, 5 minutes walk from the venue.
Do you have security at the venue?
Yes, Zeal can provide security through Red Badge Security at an extra cost to the hirer. For events where numbers exceed 100 people, security guard(s) are required. Ratio minimum is 1x security guard per 100 attendees. Security guards will be charged at a rate of $70 per guard per hour.
Do you provide a cleaning service?
Yes. We can clean the venue after your event (at an additional cost) or you can do it yourself. As long as you do it well! 🙂 A cleaning charge of $250 will be added to your final invoice if the venue is not left as it is found.
What is the difference between community and corporate rates?
We offer discounted prices for community events and small community organisations that serve our community. If you are unsure which category you fall into, just email us. We would love to hear from youÂ
Do you offer a special price for multi day-hire?
Yes, if you’re looking for a multi-day hire or ongoing hire, discounts can be applied. Just email us and let us know.
