This year’s Empowering Young Leaders Day is live as we speak!
Last year, we had a full house and were anticipating the same this year with 250 attendees. As we all know, lockdown restrictions in response to COVID-19 meant that we are all home. We figured this was the perfect opportunity to bring the event online and open up to all Taranaki intermediate and high school students – and anyone wanting to join us across the country.
So today across the Taranaki region, Empowering Young Leaders Day’s content is being played as today’s online learning for students. Videos for the day feature a range of speakers and performers – many of whom are local young people with incredible stories.
This year’s speakers include – Paul Short, Nikita Ploeg, Amanda Clinton-Gohdes, Hannah Collision (also performing), and our very own Taranaki manager – Luke Galley. This year’s performers include – Tenaya Richardson, Sean Grieve, Ruby Hosking – all MCed by Ally McFetridge and Isiah Lock, two young people part of our Zeal Taranaki core crew.
If you know a young person who may have missed today’s festivities but would love to hear some inspiring stories and learn some leadership principles, here’s the link.
